Does PrivyFinance connect to my bank?
No. You import the CSV your bank exports. This is by design: nobody holds credentials or access to your accounts.
Does it store my data in its own cloud?
No. Your data is stored encrypted on your device. Only licence activation uses our server, once.
What if I lose my device or passphrase?
Nobody can recover your data for you, not even us. That is why the app asks for an encrypted backup and for you to save the recovery code.
What happens at 80 transactions?
You can keep viewing and exporting your data; adding more needs PRO.
Is there a subscription?
No. PRO and Family are one-time payments.
Does it work offline?
Yes. You only need a connection to activate the licence, once.
Can I export my data?
Yes: encrypted .privybackup copies and exports. Protect any file you export unencrypted.
Is it financial advice?
No. It is a tool to organise and understand your finances.
